As against the 2013 invasion by school leavers (currently underway), my interest in the Japanese occupation/invasion of Bali in 1942 has been lifted after reading very short references to it in "The Loss of Java" by PC Boer. "The Loss of Java" covers the air, sea and land battles for Java in late Feb-March 1942 (Sumatra had already fallen). It is a translation of a book written more from the Dutch perspective and I wondered if anyone knew of similar book/s on the invasion and occupation of Bali. Having just returned from a Bali holiday (my 8th trip there), I am interested to read of what happened there. One of the references in TLOJ is of B-17s based in Eastern Java bombing Den Pasar and the airstrip.
Any thoughts?

I will confess to not knowing a thing about this - but I will be watching to see what comes of your project!

Thought you might given the figures I bought from you earlier this year. ;)
Strangely enough the book on Java has actually increased in price through Book Depository after I bought it. It would now be cheaper to buy it through the Periplus bookshops (if you have one nearby or are visiting Singapore of Indonesia).
