As the title describes, some Mithril miniatures. I'm a fan of Mithril's sculpting style

Lovely work on outstanding miniatures. I love the Mithril style too.
Denethor looks really lonely and insignificant next to that huge marble throne (which is wonderfully painted btw)
-
Wow! That marble!
-
Very nice!

The Hildebrandt Brothers Calendars & Mithril Miniatures are what pop into my head with the mention of Lord of the Rings. Your doing a WONDERFUL job with the latter. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Mithril miniatures can be tricky- surfaces are so smooth and flowing, there's really nowhere to hide. Lovely work.
-
Very nice. I use to have a load of these figures back when they were first released in the early 90's. They still stand up to today's standard and look just as good as they did back then.
-
Lovely paintwork on these figures, which are not the easiest ones to paint. Very good! I am impressed with the marble effect.
-
Lovely old-school collection I envy you :).
-
Also an old love of mine, Mithril. My collection is no longer complete but I have a great hoard of them in the garage.

:o
How ... how on earth did you do that marble paint job. I will snivel on the ground if you demand it ... but PLEASE ... for all that is holy ... share your technique with the unworthy rest of us ...
... I am still staring and drooling at the pic ... so take your time! lol

Thanks for the feedback all :D
I had a lot of Mithril Wood Elves once, but was foolish and sold them about 10 years ago.
DeafNala: Thanks, I was trying to go for a bit of Hilderbrandt-light & contrast with Gwaihir actually. I've liked a lot of artists' visions for Tolkien.. Hilderbrandt brothers, Sweet & Alan Lee.
