Title: Hi
Post by: bong-67 on 02 December 2013, 05:46:34 PM
Hi,
My LAF registration has just been approved and activated so I thought I'd say hello.  I've been painting and collecting miniatures and wargamng for over 20 years.  I have a wide range of interest including historicals (Trojan War, Dark Ages, Napoleonic, Colonial, WW1, WW2, and Modern)  and non-historicals (Gothic Horror, VSF, Pulp, Spy-fi, SF, and Fantasy).
My favourite game at the moment is Pulp Alley but I've also been playing a fair bit of 7TV, Warhammer Ancients, Triumph and Tragedy and RWNN.
I am a member of and game at the G3 games club in Glasgow and I'm a good friend of Black Smoke.  If you've been following some of his Pulp Ally battle reports, I'm the guy who supplies many of the figures and scenery.
I'm really looking forward to contributing to the forum.
All the best,
George.

Always good to see someone joining from Scotland.

I did not know that G3 did historicals - I might get over from Falkirk sometime 8)

Hi Folks,
Many thanks for the warm and kind welcome.  I've been a reader of LAF for many years and now I think I will really enjoy taking part in the forum.  As soon as I can I hope to post some photos of my Pulp figures including Dirk Drake and his Daredevils and also some of the terrain pieces I've been inspired to build for our Pulp Alley games.
Dave, you don't need to thank me for playing Pulp Alley, it's you who deserves the thanks for delivering the best , most innovative and enjoyable set of wargames rules I've played.
Dave, the G3 are mostly non-historical but we have some historical players.  Some of my mates have been playing a
lot of Chain of Command.  Flames of War also has a strong following and the club just finished a very popular Infantry Aces campaign.  People also play Saga a fair bit and I saw a game of Longstreet last  week.
Best of all, the club is very open-minded and friendly.  If you want to get people to play something you'll have no problems finding players.
All the best,
George.

We are running a Longstreet campaign at the moment so that might be an option
