Hi,
I apologize beforehand if this is the wrong board for this kind of inquiry.
I'm looking for heavy armoured warriors in the category at fits the bill: Warhammer Chaos Warrior.
You know big chunky plated armour type of fellow. I have a number of the old Citadel range, the Jes Goodwin and Bob Naismith types, and I want add on to these. I like the new warriors GW have now, but find them a tad monopose to fit in with the rest, so essentially I'm looking for something similar in style and size to convert and kitbash into more rank and file for my growing Realm of Chaos army.
Cheers,
Thomas

Mirliton has a pack of old Grenadier ones in the fantasy range (possibly copplestone sculpts):

Indeed Copplestone. Also available from:

Quite a bargain at £6 for the set of five.

They certainly fit the bill! And quite the bargain as stated :)
Woudl have to do something about the helmets and weapons to evulized them but at that prize it could prove to be a nice little recreational project.

Those are really nice miniatures, but I'm fairly sure that they're old Grenadier sculpts and would thus probably be quite small by today's standards. A lot depends upon what you're going to use them next to I suppose. I think I've got the chap on the right hand end - I'll dig him out and compare him to some newer figures.

The Fantasy Warrior range that these grenadier sculpts are from, were bigger than the regular grenadier range, the barbarians for instance fit well with modern figures.

I'm afraid you might right. If you can make them out, there's a picture for reference.

If the present GW Chaos Warriors weren't so dull, they'd be an obvious choice size-wise.

Oh, my good friend Sonny just walked in the door and reminded me of Avatars of War's warriors box.

Yup, just dug the chap out and he's noticably shorter than the Perry's GW Mordheim human sculpts and an Otherworld wizard (sans pointy hat). It IS a very nice sculpt, but wouldn't look terribly imposing :(
