Here are some photos of a figure that I hope to have on sale in the new year. This is the 3D print and she will be going away for moulding tomorrow, along with some other Statuesque figures and the Pulp Alley duo.
Lillie Poots is the heroine of my forthcoming pulp horror range Statuesque Asylum...

She's very small - around 21mm tall. I'm really pleased with how she turned out. I originally started her in Fimo almost two years ago, though I'm glad I redid her digitally as she's turned out much better. She's my favourite figure I've sculpted and I think one of my best! :D

Nice work, can't decide if she's cute or just plain scary :)

She's somehow creey and adorable at the same time! ;D
Amazing job, Andrew! :-*

That's a fantastic sculpt! Her face is one of the best I think I've ever seen! So characterful!

Cheers, folks. Glad you like her.

Job done, I'd say! :D

so much to sceptics like me who assume that digital sculpting is not yet fully viable....
I congratulate You Sir!
I would be very curious to know about it. Does it sculpt faster once the skills to control the software are mastered? Did it need any finish after the print? Is commercially printing still to expensive? ever thought about colour printing?

Can't wait to see the rest of the line!

Home printing is far off but printing miniatures is very much here already.
I find it faster to sculpt digitally simply because I'm not poking a tiny object with a tiny tool. It's perhaps not as intuitive as you have to remember what scale your printing too (and I see a lot of digital sculpts, especially on kickstarter, that are totally unsuitable) but you learn with practice and seeing you figures printed.
The prints I use require some cleaning of print support but they're the best you can get in terms of detail so it's worth it. In certain areas print lines have to be cleaned but it's something the manufacturer (ie me) should pick up on so it doesn't affect customers.
The prints are expensive; the cost is the time taken to print rather than materials. Colour printing is a nonstarter as I sell metal castings just like any other manufacturer. The cost per print wouldn't be viable and the technology isn't there for miniatures yet.
