RAR! Here's the barbarian for my group of fantasy adventurers. This is the 3D print and it will be going off for moulding shortly. The other characters are printed too. I'll get some photos of the wizard taken soon, though the dwarf and elf will have to wait as I can't assemble the prints due to parts being on sprues. These figures will be going on sale after the Pulp Alley and Statuesque Asylum figures, so hopefully around February. He's a big bugger; unashamedly 'heroic scale' and around 33mm tall.

SPLENDID! He looks the part...VERY barbaric & possibly not entirely human. Actually he reminds me of a stereotypical professional wrestler. GREAT WORK!
-
Oh yeah! :-* :-*
-
Wants it. :D
-
Oh now this is good!
-
very VERY nice! Looking forward to seeing the set of four.
-
Wow! He looks the business! Lovely mini.
-
Love it, Andrew! :-*
When will theassylum miniatures come out? I've been psyched by those since I saw the preview :)
-
A wrestler! Huge dude.
-
Great piece Andrew.

Thanks, folks. :) And here's the wizard:

As I said, the Dwarf and Elf will have to wait as I can't assemble the prints for photographing.
Would anyone be interested in alternative parts for these figures? I'm thinking I could sculpt 'leveled up' parts- the wizard could get a new head and staff, the barbarian a new sword and perhaps a shield in his other hand, the elf a new bow and the dwarf a new axe and shield. Each part could represent a special item found on a quest or an advancement of the character.
-
He's great. Can't wait to get my hands on this set of adventurers. Levelled up weapons or other options would be a great idea. If buy two sets then!
-
TERRIFIC! Like the Barbarian Dude, the Wizard has a VERY expressive face & a MAGNIFICENT nose. GREAT WORK!
-
Indeed the wizards nose is most impressive! He looks like the on casting a web spell in the Holmes Blue Book Basic D&D. Nice work!
-
He looks very Paul Bonnerish, and I really appreciate that! :-*
-
These are grand, very nicely done. :o 8) :-*

Being just one person, I'd say that's a fantastic idea. Level-up or gear accessory sprues for each character. Really adds to the customization of each player.
Any other character classes being considered?
Human rogue, halfling thief etc?
-
These are nice and smooth....look forward to seeing them painted but you seem to be missing a halfling or ten.
-
They are lovely. I will be getting all of them.

Not sure the suggested options scream "leveled up" as I'd expect the leveled up barbarian to have jewel encrusted arm and lag armour. But given the skill executed here I am sure it's just me not seeing it yet, for instance I'm sure the extra sword would be something truly ornate. A wand holding hand for the wizard would be cool,
I would love to see LOWER level versions of these two. A stick figure barbarian with knobby knees barely lift his sword, a bookish teenage geek holding a book larger than him, etc.
Get these out soon please, they are great. Also, I do hope you will follow up with more classes as someone else asked.
-
Beautiful work, Andrew! :-*
-
Awesome! Who does your printing and what material did you go for? Results look smoooooth!
-
They are awesome! I really love those sculpts, but a few things are keeping me from reaching for my paypal account just yet: if you do 'the' four adventurers, I'd want a bunch of henchmen toting, let's say, halberds, spears, crossbows and swords and shields in the same style ;) . And... I'd prefer them in metal...
Still; those sculpts are so nice, they'd be pretty hard to resist as is. :)
-
Thanks guys.

Yeah it's probably just fancy weapons that they could find in the dungeon rather than 'leveled up' characters. I'm limited to what parts I can change as I don't want to redo the bodies (can afford it!). So an ornate sword, bow and staff, that kind of thing. I can do a second wizard head so he's the one most likely to look like a character advancement (G****** the White? ;)).
@Dave: They're printed by timolaumann.de using a Envisiontec Perfactory machine in the RCP30 resin material (a temp resistance resin). Best prints money can buy! :D
@Daeothar: I love the old Advanced Heroquest henchmen and I'd like to do something similar but in the style of these figures.
-
Any update on this?
I second the henchmen being made in your style pof these new figures
-
Not keen on the barbarian, but love the wizard!!!! Just what I'm after!
-
Wow, for some reason I couldn't locate this thread when I checked last month, must have been sleep deprived. Glad to see it again, and I too would love to hear if any progress has been made with this adventuring party.
-
They're getting there, slowly but surely. :)
Currently they're being mastered into metal, after which they'll go for production moulding. I'm hoping to get them out this month but it depends of the mould maker's turnaround time. They're pretty busy I think.
-
Thank you Andrew, best of luck with these.

Nice sculpts!
