Does anyone know where I can get a plastic kit of the Red Baron's tri-plane from? Must be plastic rather than resin.

If money is no object try here

Though I believe the DR1 will be released shortly as a single kit too.

Eduard is releasing one soon, but it's part of a two-pack, so the price may be high:

I'm led to believe that the Dragon kit is not so good as the Eduard one.... bearing in mind that it came from a modelling site, that may just mean something really petty.

Looks ok to me though, plus the Dragon kit will obviously be a lot cheaper.

I assume that´s mainly due to the fact that the Dragon Triplane is more than a decade old - I remember seeing it in the 1995 catalogue. Even though Dragon led the way back in those days, IP casting has significantly improved since then, so since the Eduard one is of newer vintage, I wouldn´t call it fair to find the DML one at fault.
-
It is actually going to be used as wreckage so it doesn't have to be too good a kit if I'm honest. the Dragon one will do if I can get one.
-
The Smer kit isn't 1/48th but is much cheaper than the others and, as it'll be a crash victim, this shouldn't matter too much?

In Air EZ-Build Aircraft Model Kits.

I have a couple and they are really nice!

I bought a few of these last year (NewRay). Nice models and great price, but not 1/48th. More like 1/35th.

I own the Dragon kit... it is really very nice. I don't own the Eduard kit so I can't give a side by side comparison but I am guessing that you will be happy with the Dragon kit.
