Title: LAM Release - War and Peace - Tolstings
Post by: Prof.Witchheimer on 15 December 2013, 03:40:43 PM
They are small, they are cute, they are Tolstings! Welcome to our small new range, made by Igor Karpow, some little fun just before Christmas. The figures are loosely based on the protaganists of various books from and about 19th century, perhaps with emphasis on the first half of it. The figures are available in two packs each of five miniatures.

and that's to the question about scale:

Agreed.  I have no idea what I'd use them for, but they look great!  :-*

Not me, it's entirely Igor's vision  :)

Yes, but you support these wacky projects!

Indeed, great painting too- I should have known you did them!  :-*

I looked at these and thought 'my Penny Dreadful Pulp Alley project', read down a little and saw that Paul has probably had a similar idea! They will be great as either members of Professor Moluki's Circus of Oddities or henchmen of the evil head of the Corsican Exchange crime syndicate (a Moriarty/Wonka like character). Great figures and now on my list!

I have some of these from years ago. Of course you had to go and split the ones I don't have across the two packs. ;D

So I hope but it is entirely up to the sales. First we sold a certain amount of sets we would consider to make more.

I know you have shown a picture telling me about the scale in mm. But can you post a picture showing a comparison between your ranges.

The Tolstings are so cool and cute! I just don't wand to go out of scale with new minis.

Thanks in advance
GS

I've been thinking for ages, "what do they remind me of?", and I've just realised - Ken Dodd's Diddymen (apart from the faces)

H'mm I've just bought into the Bob Olley Steampunk scrunts - wonder how these will go together?

Very sweet figures - great vision and super painting.

Mine arrived today.  (Fantastic service!)

Occasionally miniatures arrive that don't look as good in RL as they do in the photos.  More often than not, figures arrive that are a good match for the photos.

With these, the photos of the bare metal figures are really very good, and the prof's paintwork is truly excellent but, now I have the actual figures they are just...

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D

They really are.   :)
