The only thing is, the LPL is starts soon, would it not be better to pace all the good contests on this fine forum and wait until after that?

There will be a new Build Something Contest. It will be running after LPL8, around June/July time.
More details will be forthcoming towards the end of the LPL. :)

Well,I'm in :) Rather than always running 4th or 5th in the LPL,I have at least a chance of retaining my crown in the build something contest :D

I hope to take part in this comp! :) So hopefully the comp will last longer than Xmas holis and over the NYE as well, as I will not be having lots of hobby time during the Holiday... too many places to go, many people to see and so on.
Oh and curious to know if you will have a common abstract theme for the comp and/or some item or material that needs to be included in the built?

I spent an hour today sorting out my bit boxes (3 fishing tackle boxes with arms, guns, webbing, shields, etc all kept in seperate compartments). I can assure you I will enter. I may not be the best entry, but I'm not afraid of having a go :)
