Title: Titan-Forge Steampunk dwarfs KS

These look pretty cool, though I am trying to figure out if some are just machines or if there is a dwarf inside all of them.  I followed Titan-Forge's undead orc army on indiegogo, even though I could not buy anything at the time.  It seemed to have gone over well.  I bet these guys will look pretty good once they are all finished.

They are quite nice although look nothing at all like my own idea of steampunk, more like a take on warmachine with warhammer army lists.  I must be in the minority though as it is flying already, obviously blocky renders are more appealing than fine hand sculpting like Mr Olleys ???

They are quite blocky, I am not sure if the dwarf warriors are robots or not, as the beards looks like metal plates?  The Olley ones were really nice as well.

I can also see these fitting into those games.
but they are a turn off to me

I think they're supposed to be "robots" swap/leave off the head and they'd make fine, clanking, brutal automatons!

Not good.

I still have two sets of unpainted dwarves + the Victorian Scrunts coming and now these  :'(

I think some of them look quite ok, but would fit better as Exo Armour/Squat Robots for Rogue Trader than Steampunk or whatever they are supposed to be.

Anyway, Bob Olleys sculpting skills are of course far supperior than these, but I see them used in different roles.

:)

Yes, they will be appreciated by many - just not me.   Pass, thanks.

Gracias,
