Rather nice...........doesn't shout Martian to me though, more British attempt to get back on an even keel with those invading savages....

Very retro, I like it.

Agreed. I think it makes a good take on reverse-engineered Martian technology.

Yes, it's close, I like it, but not quite Martian. I don't think the rivets work at all, I wonder if they can be cleanly removed?

My favourite miniature tripods are actually Ground Zero Games' - only problem is that they're scaled for 10-15mm...

I echo the previous comments...the search for a perfect tripod continues...

Great for 7TV as well! For use with an Argonauts cast  :D

It looks like it is based on the 1906 Henrique Alvim Corréa illustration (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5a/War-of-the-worlds-tripod.jpg/250px-War-of-the-worlds-tripod.jpg).

For that, it does a decent-enough job IMHO, although the pose is rather static.

It looks even more like it in this pic -

For me though, this is the classic tripod, from the Jeff Wayne album illustrations -

Which means to me, I like the rivets, get rid of the tentacles...  :D

No cigar, but Reviresco's is in the ballpark... ( I HATE when I use sports aphorisms! )

Eureka still have a few of my tripods in stock.

They have a more Jeff Wayne feel IMO.

I agree the ironclad ones work as reengineered British ones based on captured Martian tech.

Cheers
