Seeing as it's Christmas, I thought I'd take one of these:

Nice over Naughty.  

Less grief to my Supervisor (who knew my best supervisor would be someone in DC while I was half a continent away?) who is pretty laid back.

Nice:  Eating better, exercising more, losing weight (up and down during the holiday season, duh,) letting my youngest (20) spread her wings (she is hell of a lot more mature - relatively - at 20 than I was,) and working on reducing detritus in my life.

Naughty:  Have done nothing until 31DEC2013 (when I took the CBT for non-disclosure) about this new pending requirement for professional certification (RANT on: several decades of competence to excellence as Data Base Analyst, Geopositioning anlyst, Regional Analyst, and Human Geographer and now I need certification?  Bad attitude i own up to...  And the basic level certification requires me to know the all base skills of all occupations in our widely diverse Intelligence Agency plus Policy wonk work?  The relevant sections alone of the source documents printed out stand several feet high!  RANT off.)  Hell, I retire at the end of 2016; it should take them that long to get the Level two certification for my specific work role approved by all the other agencies...  This does nothing for me personally or professionally but I am supposed to be excited about itn in front of the interns/new employees - just not happening!

Resolution: I must work on Level 1 certification (I will use work time as allowed by policy - non-crisis production will suffer but my supervisor is good with that because he going through the same process.)  See my attitude is better already.
