Post by: beefcake on 28 December 2013, 01:39:07 AM
So what happened to alkemy miniatures. I really want some of their khaliman republic cat people minis. Anyone know (or does anyone know of suitable replacements)

I just got a bunch relatively inexpensive too from http://www.miniaturemarket.com/  Great company to deal with, they still have some in stock.

I saw them I may just grab what I want from there. I really wanted the starter set for khaliman but I'll make do. Cheers.

Kraken Editions, the original owner went bust, from what I can remember the production cost of each pack was insanely high. The packaging etc while very nice was frankly over the top.

The figures etc were then bought by Studio 38 who released a few more things for it. Studio 38 is still going however the Alkemy stuff has vanished from their ranges completely. I had a look around recently and no one seems to know why, they also never replied to my email asking about it.

Miniature Market is the best place to get things, Ludiks Bizarre also has quite a bit (although their shipping makes me cringe). It's a case of finding what you're after I'm afraid.

Ooh, there's some good news. Hopefully that will work out and we'll see some re-releases? I have thought of using the Khaliman figures for swaps myself too.
