Title: Chain of Command playing time?
Post by: Londoncopper on 29 December 2013, 12:01:37 AM
Would it be possible to give me an approximate time for an average CoC game?
I would be using an HQ section, 2 or 3 rifle sections with MMG and mortar support with maybe a tank popping up too.
My gaming time is maybe 3 hours, possibly 4 before everything gets packed away.
I currently play Bolt Action but am tempted by CoC but have read that it is a rather long game, is this true?

A couple of hours would be normal.  90 minutes a quick game.  I don't think I have ever played a "standard" game with that sort of force size that has gone past 2 hours 30 minutes.

Sounds perfect, will the rules work okay on a Kindle Fire HD?

To add to what everybody else says, we play a bloody good game with a reinforced platoon in about 2.5 hours. To start with we used slightly smaller forces as we got used to the rules.
