Title: The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy movie
Post by: Operator5 on 05 June 2008, 09:15:09 PM
Sometimes you go looking for stuff and you find something you never imagined.

I was looking for images of pre-colombian mummys and found this series of movies. This one really caught my eye as a great pulp game scenario. Evil Scientist and his Robot enter an Aztec tomb to battle the mummy and his servants.

Now that's hard to top. And another place that seems to be worth exploring.

A good buddy of mine just loaned me a couple of the "Santos" movies. Santos vs the Vampire Women, Santos vs the Aztec Mummy. Great fun. Hadn't thought of it, but Santos would be a great character, riding around in his Corvette convertible while talking to his friend the professor on his huge radio phone.

Great idea.  :)

Does anyone know of any Luchador minis out there?

I seemed to recall there was quite some ado about that kind of stuff recently over on TMP, and indeed, the obscure "Golgo Island" range includes a set of luchadores y una luchadora. And a mutant gorilla with raygun. Ay ay ay, senorita!?!

Cheers for that one.  :)

Luchadores seem like perfect material for Pulp in the Americas, fighting Aztec Mummies, Robots, Zombies or even evil Brawler Luchadores.

Thinking about it, The Jade Hood has a bit of a lucha mask thing going on.  El Máscara Jade? :)

I have to say that there could indeed be something to it - I´ve been pondering of getting a figure or so since I saw some episodes of the totally bonkers, but funny "Mucha Lucha" animated series. I assume 75% of the jokes didn´t make it through dubbing, but what did was hilarious.
