Title: Polar Adventures - (update 18th Jan)
Post by: Eric the Shed on 03 January 2014, 12:01:51 PM
Happy New Year Folks

With 2014 upon us I have decided to turn my attention to the next shed project. At present I haven't decided the genre but I do know that it will be based in the Polar regions...so this presents a whole new challenge of snow and ice.

I've already posted a couple of threads on the blog showing progress and here are a couple of teaser shots...

more to be found on the blog...please note that this is very much work in progress

Looking forward to how the snow will turn out.

Those snow troopers really are the business. Often have I gazed longingly at them at shows. But I don't play 28mm or snow themed... I think this year I should get them anyway.

Weirdly, I've had the same plan for a while, and decided to take the plunge after seeing your post.

The snowtroopers are great - lovely models and they'll be great fun to paint up.

My first Daemonscape resin vehicles too.  I had been worried that, being the old GZG 25mm range, they might be too small.  No such problem, as your photos show - they're lovely big blocks of resin!

A big shout-out to Daemonscape and 4A miniatures - both delivered within 24 hours of ordering, and the casting on the figures and vehicles is top-notch.

Eric - I'm not racing you to finish these  ;D

Mahwell - I find that scenarios have a habit of working themselves out for painted minis  lol

Looking forward to seeing where this project goes. The vehicle does work well with the troopers.I had thought about the one which Mark Copplestone has on his site.Got some of the AT-43 Ice crystals for when I get around to such a project.

Nice blog updates. The miniature Mojo figures will work really well for your project.Sculpted by Adam Gayford who did my snow troopers and lots of the other pieces too.Do you plan on adding buildings to your table too?If so what make?

Shame the snow cat is not available now.Would have been a perfect fit.
