A zombie vicar impaled with a cross and a new pair for the special police unit with the old figures. After talking with Dad we've decided the first minis release for Recreational Conflict will be these plus the crab, with two sets of claws, and two more zombies. (They're just zombies, you don't need to see them do you?)
They seem in size, proportions, and details to match up pretty well with Hasslefree. Heh, maybe we Americans can have some nice indy sculptors after all. :)

Also, do you think there'd be any interest if I had Brian do a variant of each not-STARS with a different weapon? Like up-gunning each guy holding a pistol or giving the shot-gun/submachine people a pistol of some sort?
Thanks for looking.
++Update++
The last two zombies are finally here! They look fresh enough they could also pull duty as civilians. (Well the woman is a cop, but you get the idea.) Now I'll be able to send things to the casters.

Depending on sales and how much we need for the next master mould, the next wave should be out in a month or two. We'll see. It should include some more S.P.R.U. agents, and of course more zombies, and a couple of undead dogs.

Stuff looks great! What name are you selling them under, Recreational Conflict?
Brian
-
And where can I find them? Which manufacturer???
-
Those look great! :o
-
That's another thing I haven't decided. We'll be selling them through Recreational Conflict. (the buisness account has been paying for most of this stuff so far) I'm thinking of selling under the label of a hobby website I'm working on called Lead Bones.
We'll be selling for the first time at Historicon, and thinking about having a prerelease sale for the rest of the world shortly afterward.
Thanks for your interest. I hope you can have a bit more patience. I really don't. :)
Oh, if anyone reading knows someone who wants to carry this line let me know. We aren't going to start advertising for this for a bit, but we'd like to talk to interested parties just the same.

These are great! Expect an order from me!
-
Excellent stuff! Can't wait to get my grubby little hands on them. :-*
-
Very nice indeed! :)
-
oooo! these are rather splendid!!
-
Very nice!
Metal or plastic? ;)
So Hasslefree sized - bit too small to scale in with Copplestone's Future Wars? Because they look like they would fit in rather well style-wise.

Depends on your point of view, I suppose. I've got Copplestone, Hasslefree, Foundry etc which I happily use together. After all every team has a Peter Crouch and a Shaun Wright-Phillips in real life, so why not in miniature ;)
These are definitely on my "want-it" list :)

these are very nice! My favourite is the zombie vicar. And do please show the other zombies! Hope you do very well with them! Looking forward to more good stuff from you

Nice sculpts. 8)

So many uses. We have to meet up at Historicon if nothing else, so I can buy them.

"And do please show the other zombies!"
Sorry, they haven't been sculpted yet. :)
As for compatibility, I really like the more realistic proportions. If our sculptor is up for it we want to make sure you have enough variety from us you don't need anyone else. :) Now I just got to find another compatible sculptor incase our lines take off...
-
Very nice indeed ;)
-
Really nice sculpts! What would be really cool is if you also had a zombified miniature of all the troopers! :)
-
i wants these bigtime!! :-* :-* :-* :-*

If this range is going to expand I'd love to see more not S.T.A.R.S characters. Barry Burton and that ex-marine turned escaped convict (whose name I forget) would be great.
-
I'd like to get my hands on a Nemeses. When playing with him I would always say "STARS" in that deep scratchy voice scary voice.

We'll see about zombie characters. Would be nice to save some money with variant sculpts. :)
Appropriate monsters and more members of not-STARS are a definite possibility. We'll have to see how well these sell, 'cause I know our warchest is tight right now. If Historicon is bountiful expect to see more.
I'm thinking of calling the police the Special Police (Paranormal?) Reaction Unit. Or S.P.R.U. for short. What do ya say?
-
Can we order from you directly if we are not going to Historicon?
-
You can just say their from Possum, Chipmunk or Wombat City instead. ;) I always hated that city name!
Brian
-
"Can we order from you directly if we are not going to Historicon?"
Of course. We're going to be putting them online a week or so after the con.
-
As regards money saving conversions I reckon you could get quite a few S.P.R.U commandos from the 4 master figures. Just change the heads and weapon arms.
There could be:
a bearded head with crew cut.
a head with a safari style bush hat (with a sniper rifle set of arms)
a head wearing sinister dark glasses
a head wearing a baseball cap etc etc.
I'm getting all excited. ;D

Updated my original post with the new pic, have a look.
