Hi there!
I've been lurking on this board for quite a while now and what i saw did help a lot to keep me on track while painting some privateers. Now I registered to show you some pics in return!

Welcome aboard, and excellent job on the painting too... Hendrick looks excellent...
So another top class painter to show up my poor painting skills huh? ;)
-
Very nice, but now we want to see the ship....
-
Lovely paintwork :)
-
They are all top class - especially love the Captain. :-*
He is a nice choice of miniature for a non pirate Captain.
I assume they are for LotHS? Are any of them to be Mercenaries (maybe Maart & Jaffar)?
-
Not another very talented painter on the forum!
What chance have the rest of us got :'(
Welcome! I really like the colours you've picked and the flesh tones are really well done :)
-
Very nice. :)
-
Welcome - and rather beautiful work there Sir!
-
Now you almost made me drop the project I'm working at to get back to pirates :)
Did you use a towel or some kind of rug for the water? Seems to work well, maybe one could soak a piece of that fabric with thinned white glue (or maybe blue paint?), let it dry, and then paint/highlight the 'waves'....
-
Excellent painting! Welcome to the forum!
-
Thank's for your kind words :)

Only Jaffar is a Mercenary, all the others are Mariners. There are 2 more Mercs (with blunderbuss) on the painting table before the crew is finished.

Actually, you're right! I did use a towel, but thats only for the pics. I plan to build a quartered 4x4 table and the pictured island will be part of it. The sea will be made of clear silicone over blue painted foam. ;)

Can't wait to see how THAT looks :)
-
Very nice painting! Welcome aboard! :) With those painting skills you won't be made to walk the plank! lol

Nice little resin boat... is it a Geboom-ship?
-
Finished the ship today, all that i have to add are some sort of sails and a flag! Any suggestions as how to do the sails?
Hope you like:

It is a resin ship from Geboom, with little modifikations made by me.
Painted beasty brown with a wash of devlan mud (new GW wash). Great stuff, dries comletly matt... 8)

Great looking 8)
Just one comment: Isn't the upper part of the mast normally sitting to the front of lower part..?

Welcome to the best show in town. Excellent looking figures.
