Just for those who weren't aware - both the Scientific American and the Strand Magazine have been digitised and can be found online here-

I often find useful things on archive.org - it's a really useful resource.

Old newspapers and mags, possibly the only thing I browse primarily for ads. Especially fashion tips. Doubly so if they're in colour.

Well if you're interested in anything Australian - my job is digitising our old newspapers :)  We do everything Aussie up to 1954 (and a couple things newer)
