Well, two.
I babysit my friend's four year old a lot, and I usually let him look at oversized picture books of knights and such while I do some chores. He also loves painting. I found a few of the old Weapons and Warriors guys lying about and we both sat down and painted one.
Not ashamed to say mine isn't much better than his-it's my first painted mini, too.

Great work. Hook them whilst they're young! My favorite figures are ones my children have painted at various early ages.

That's fantastic! You never know how far this early exposure will take him in the hobby! I'm sure he will remember with fondness; my kids have surprised me by their recall of details about early rpgs we would make up with their toys. :)
