I've been putting together a number of Buntai for Ronin lately. I'm planning on hosting a campaign weekend at the end of February - which I will need 10 buntai for. Each buntai will be 400 points from which the players will select about 150 points for each scenario.
Here are the first three:
The Bandit Buntai

More of the Bandit (including pictures of the individual figures) can be seen on my blog here:

I'm just finishing up some Peasants and Ikko-Ikki, then I'll have four more Bushi and a second Sohei Buntai to do.

I like these a lot.
The first lot are mostly old glory right?
What are the rest? Looks like a mix of things including Old Glory and Perry but cant place the rest.
Gonna have to check your blog.
You have listed the miniatures in the blog. Thank you.
-
Thanks!
As you say, the manufacturers of them are all listed on the blog.
The bandits are mostly Old Glory, with a few Black Hat, Assault group, Dixon and old AEG/L5R Clan War figures.
The Sohei are all Perry Miniatures.
The Bushi are a mix of mostly Old Glory and old AEG/L5R Clan War figures - with a Dixon samurai and a Perry Ashigaru (the banner carrier).
-
Yeah I edited after I read the blog.
Your blog is great btw I have read it before but cant work out how to suscribe.
-
Looks awesome, the groups are very characterful. I like the use of the AEG/L5R stuff. Some of those figures are really nice.
-
Fantastic looking buntai. A real pleasure to see how the various manufacturers lines mix with each other.
-
Great stuff!! Would love to get hold of some Clan war miniatures!

Hi Tim
That looks fantastic, could you post the rules you come up with for the campaign, we have 7 guys at our club who have Buntai painted and your campaign looks like just the thing.

Fantastic work, Tim. I'm particularly jealous at how neat and tidy your fabric designs have turned out.

I will at some point. I don't have anything typed up yet. I'm mostly using ideas straight out of the rulebook.

Another Buntai added - a second Sohei Buntai - this one is made up of miniatures from The Assault Group.
