I decided to take some pictures of my 6mm Russo-Swedish War 1808/1809 collection as i have decided (with heavy heart) to sell it.
They are now on ebay:-

It is based roughly on the Russo-Swedish war in Finland of 1808/1809.
I say roughly as hardly any cavalry were involved in the war but I could not resist having the Life Guards and Mörnska Hussars on the table.
The figures are mostly from Heroics and Ros. The unpainted flags in the pictures have been painted since I took the pictures. These are well painted figures and as you see in the pictures a lot of work and love of detail went into the whole collection.
Heres what i am selling:-
The Russian Army
5x 80 fig.infantry battalions. (Each battalion is 4x 20 fig bases, so if you want you use each base separatly giving you 20 units)
4x 8 fig. cossack bases.
5x 8 fig. dragoon bases
3x artillery battery bases.
3x limber/caisssons
5x command bases (incl. HQ tent scene)

There are actually more cavalry Units on the table than were really involed in Finland but you cant collect a swedish napoleonic army without having the Mörnska hussars and the lovely life guards :)
I have 6mm, 10mm and 28mm napoleonics and i realised that i cannot keep on collecting in 3 scales at the same time, so a difficult decision was needed.

Thanks.
Yes, i think it is a facinating little napoleonic sideshow. Lots of coastal raids and small encounters perfect for wargaming.
I will probably end up collecting it again in 10mm or 28mm so that it fits in with my other napoleonic collections.

Price reduction
I was hoping that the collection would stay together but it looks like i may have to put it on ebay in separate auctions.
As ebay charges are getting out of hand, i would rather lower the price here first and let a gamer save some money instead of giving the money to ebay.

Very nice pics. Can you recommend any books on the Russo-Swedish War in English?
