Title: Muskets & Tomahawks project
Post by: Kadzik on 25 January 2014, 03:38:30 PM
We've been playing Muskets & Tomahawks for some time, but I was able to finish some cabins after almost a year.

Well weathered.

Great looking buildings. They will look great in action on a gaming table with lots of trees, figures, bushes, etc. Thanks for sharing.

Four regulars from Languedoc Infanterie almost finished (bases I'm going to make, when everyone will be ready).
Miniatures are from Crusader. Sculpt is quite nice, but small variety make then not so great for skirmishes.

I'm working on militia for AWI. They are from Perry but with small conversions of hats, to make them more suitable for northern theatre and Sullivan expedition.

Nice painting style.  Look forward to seeing some more.  How are you going to finish off the bases?

Nice painting style.  Look forward to seeing some more.
Soon I will finish some Compagnies Franchs/Canadian Militia and about dozen of Indians :)

How are you going to finish off the bases?
Standard way: drybrush with light sand paint then some dark green flock and light green static grass.

Compagnie Franches de la Marine from Conquest Miniatures. Excellent figurines: lovely poses, lots of details but easy to paint.

They are fantastic.  The finished bases really bring the figures to life even more.  Love the mix of colours.

Superb painting and the log cabins are fantastic. I shall watch this thread with interest. Some great inspiration for my own Muskets and Tomahawks project.

I'd like to present church. Belfry is a separate piece (as you can see in second picture, where it's unpainted) with magnetic connection, so allow more comfortable storage and is more fluffy-players friendly during gameplay :) Also this allows me to easy make antoher belfry from different part of world, f.e. with cupola to act as a Russian orthodox church.
Dimensions are 21 cm length, 15 width and 16 high in the highest point of roof.
