Title: Near Future Troopers
Post by: whiffwaff on 26 January 2014, 08:25:04 PM
I'm working on a bunch of SWAT figures at the moment ( you can see them over on the Modern Board) but thought I'd also do a few Sci Fi type heads to increase their use.

This figure has a FN SCAR but there are a load more with different weapons too. The rest of the heads are still being worked on but I finished this one off this afternoon. All heads are on a ball joint to allow variation in posing.

I just looked at the modern ones; very nice! I like these too. I wonder if they could pass as Rogue Trooper Nort style soldiers with the addition of some oxygen tanks?

You can never have enough gas mask figures in my opinion  :D
Will you do the SCAR without the launcher as well?

I've got (as of this moment) 60 troopers with various weapons being made.

I got a bit carried away this afternoon!

The SCAR is cast with a UGL but if the rest are well received then, yep, a basic model will be made :)

Cheers

I do have some tanks already cast... Not sure how I could connect them on a separate head figure though.

hoses from the tanks or from the head out so they could be bent into position and attached? (See pic).

 ???

Or maybe another choice of heads?  ;)

I actually intended to pm you about this but shortly after I hit an internal server error on the LAF website and couldn't get back on. I figured you'd find it though!

Can't wait.

Are you going to reconsider doing head sprues? Works well for the likes of pig iron etc...

 ???

Wonder how they'd scale with hasslefrees not sg1 minis - the headless bodies could work for other teams then...

Adam's moved house and work premises recently add to that some further development of the business so he's not sat still.

Update v soon I expect.
