Hello,
I have wanted to make my own 28 to 30mm scale Cthulhu model for a while. That is I want it to be in the 28 to 32mm size range when finished, not scaled for 28mm which would make him HUGE!
I have an idea for a head to use on the model, but wanted to cast about for a bit of inspiration for the body.
Basically I need a decent sized body, standing upright and ideally with bat like wings that I base the model on, I am happy to sculpt some basic detail on and do conversion work, but don’t want to have to make the whole thing from scratch.
I have looked about at various gargoyles and demons, but most of them seem a bit skinny to use as a base model, or have wonky poses.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, esp. ones that could be obtained in the UK.
Thanks

You've probably already looked, but there is the Heresy demon range:

I don't think you could call them skinny, really.
Azaroth the Fallen One would get my vote. Excellent quality and service too. :)

In all honesty I had forgotten about Heresy, the demons are great models but dont have quite the right look for me and I am not sure how well I could resculpt new feet... I am don't think Cthulhu would suit cloven hoofs.......?

If you can still find him the Sota Toys Cthulu is perfect for a large 28mm Cthulu:

He's about 7" tall; I have one. I wish I had gotten his buddy Dagon before they were sold out.
Still available on ebay.
