Title: Flintloque adventure: First game on mini board!
Post by: Painting Princess on January 28, 2014, 03:23:45 AM
Greetings, folks!

Have been working on some figures for a game of Flintloque I'll be playing - hopefully soon! - and thought I'd post a pic of the painted minis:

My husband's built me a little tower fort for the Royal Guard of the Free State of Schnoselburg! Hoping to start painting that soon too.

More pics of the troops on my blog: http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/the-free-state-of-schnoselburg.html (http://painting-princess.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/the-free-state-of-schnoselburg.html)

Feedback welcome :)

I'm not sure if I was successful leaving a message on your blog. SO here's it goes: "LOVELY WORK, Princess! Flintloque is one of those games /models I've loved, but never played. Have FUN with it all!"

There is one of those "type this to prove your not a Bot" messages. The words are either illegible or written in conversational Sanskrit. I will keep trying...most folk think I'm a very trying Old Man.

lol I know your pain, DeafNala. And don't worry, you're not the only one who's been stumped by those things. I've often had to refresh them several times before finding one I could manage to read properly! o_o

Great looking figures! I can't wait to see what you do with them. Flintloque figures are really cool.

Those are the dog sculpts I love. My Saxhunde dogmen... Not so much. We sat down and had a nine player game of Flintloque just today (battle report coming soon). I just love to see well painted Flintloque miniatures as it warms my heart as that game is just especially dear to my heart.

Thanks for the comments! :) Yep, they're definitely the best of the dogmen sculpts.

Look forward to seeing your battle report, especially seeing as we still haven't gotten around to playing a game yet. Hoping to play one next week, though there'll only be two of us!

We had a mini game on Sunday to try out the rules - was very fun!

You can see how it went for the Dogmen of Schnöselburg and the elves of the Swizzic Republic here:

Great "micro" game. Clean, crisp painted miniatures and some first rate scenery in such a small space.

That's was a fun battle report. I really like the way the table is modeled. How are the rest of your Dogmen coming out?

That is a SPLENDID little game. It has a WONDERFUL visual appeal...a moving, narrative vignette. VERY WELL DONE!

Thanks, RMZ! Appreciate the lovely feedback :)

Thanks! They're coming! So far, I've got a nearly-finished jager (he's just missing some grass on his base) and got some more dogs primed and ready to go. I also finished an elven lady for another scenario we've written up (hopefully to play in the near future!) Hope to have a couple of pics after the weekend ...

Thanks, DeafNala, you always have something nice to say :) Oh, and by the way, I removed the annoying 'prove you are not a bot' functionality from my blog (finally figured it out!) seeing as it also frustrates me to no end when I try to comment on someone's blog and the bot-deterrent won't accept 'tressbun' when clearly that's what the image says! ;)
