Title: Chain of Command: Ranking Senior Leader?
Post by: scrivs on 30 January 2014, 11:42:51 AM
I've been playing Chain of Command so that the senior officer in my platoon - i.e. the Lieutenant - is a Ranking Senior Leader so gets four Command Initiatives and a 12" radius. However, checking and rechecking the rules I may have been wrong about this but there is no clear guidance on what a Ranking Senior Leader actually is.

Is my Lieutenant just a 'normal' Senior Leader and the role of Ranking Senior Leader is for those occasions when a Captain or Major etc. makes an appearance in the game?

The platoon commander is just a normal Senior Leader. To qualify as a Ranking Senior Leader it would need to be an officer higher up the food chain, such as the company commander, or even on officer from Battalion HQ.

This is clarified in the Errata/FAQ which can be found on the TFL Blog here http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=1819
