Title: HvM's SAGA samurais
Post by: HvM on 30 January 2014, 07:55:04 PM
Hi folks,

after hanging around too long in middle earth i felt for coming back to the real world  ;D
I have to admit that i have been interested for samurai histories for years. A couple of weeks ago i visited the "Scenario" Con in Germany and i was so impressed by "Wraith"'s japanese SAGA game that i decided to paint a few samurais aswell.

So my nobori bearer of the Hojo clan breaks ground. Hope the other guys will follow soon :)

You're not Frank's twin by any chance are you? :)

Wonderfully done!

Are there specific Japanese SAGA variants out there, or were they just using specific battleboards?

I'd love to see some closer photos of the cloth texture on the sashimono.  It looks terrific, and gives it a real cloth-effect.  Something I'm currently struggling with on my own samurai figures.
