How is the kindle version of the rules?
I ask as im interested in getting the kindle rules so i can read on my mobile phone
the review at amazon says that they are not very good

Having never even held a Kindle I'm afraid I have no idea :o
I have the PDF and that is just like the book...

Where can you get the pdf from?

I've got the Kindle version, and read it on both my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet and (converted onto) my Kobo. Both versions read fine, layout it solid except for the tables which go a little screwy. I find if it's not laying out correctly going back and forth on the pages can make it all snap into one place, no idea why.
One of the tables, possible the talents one, is pretty much unreadable though, so much data in one column. Imagine a spreadsheet where you make it really narrow, you have a column that's three words wide and 40 lines long ;)
Convenient to have, but I did go and buy the paper version as well just for tables.

I would agree with _Si_ the tables are a pain. I read it on kindle fire, there are 14 lines to a page in standard settings on landscape. There are nowhere near as many working links as there should be. Text to speech now works (it didn't when purchased) so I suppose there must have been an upgrade. This may sound negative but overall it does what I want it to and it was a bargain.

I agree that the tables are problematic to read on a mobile phone, but I love having them at hand when I don't have my hard copies at hand. I have the kindle version and read it through the kindle reader app for my iPhone 4. I also use the kindle cloud reader in my browser to have both books up on my computer when I'm working on creating new companies. The problem with the tables does NOT occur when I've got them up in my browser, by the way.

While I don't have IHMN or HVF in Kendle form, I have read a fair number of Kindle ebooks. While the Kindle format is much better than PDF for reading text, I agree that charts and tables are, at best, not handled well.

I recommend having both the Kindle and print version because of the problems with the tables. The Kindle version comes in mighty handy, being always available on my phone, plus I take my Fire to work every day and it comes in handy on breaks or at lunch working on new Companies.
The only solution, not perfect, is to greatly reduce the font size when viewing tables.
I would assume Craig & Charles would agree that it is best to also buy the book if you get the Kindle version, as it puts more dinero in their pockets. lol

You might think that but we could not possibly comment :D
Like all good Legionnaires Osprey pays us three sous per day on active service, two while in garrison, with deductions for food, bedding and uniforms. All in all it's not a bad life...

it looks ok on the mobile
and fine on the computer
