Title: Identify Mistery Miniatures please
Post by: area23 on 01 February 2014, 02:50:18 PM
These three miniatures I got from a friend in the early 1990's. I have no idea what they are from. I vaguely remember them being from a cyberpunk game or range, possibly produced in the U.S.
Any of you gentlemen connoisseurs have an idea what they are?

Nothing I've seen. Very crude maybe Metamorphosis Alpha or some early SFRPG? Anything on the tabs?

I aksed that over on Facebook and apparently nothing on them. Could they be Martin Baker sculpts?

I think the figure on the left might be from the original Cyberpunk boxed set, I have the figure and have had the boxed set too, they're awful miniatures.  I don't recognise the other two.

Nope. Cyberpunk 2020 miniatures by Grenadier were all solid bases, not slottas.

Lance and Laser perhaps? ???

The middle one is what you get when you cross Lee Van Cleef with an Ape  ::)

Can't help with a serious answer, sorry - never seen them before

Nope, but they definitely show their age.  Are you looking for more of them?  Surely a range to avoid!  :'(

Ha! amazing no-one seems to know. But maybe not so very strange as they are seriously bad sculpts.  lol
There are no markings whatsoever on the tabs. No traces, a solid alibi...

Grenadier did also do slotta based stuff back in the 90s and late 80s.
Their cyberpunk(R) stuff was all integral bases, though.  They did have some other stuff that would also suit the genre, but I can't recall the name of the line.
There were some exquisite casts but there were also some less than stellar (like these ones).

Cyberpunk licensed minis were made by Soldiers & Swords after Grenadier went bust (they picked up the Champions license as well). I had a hunch these might be some of them, but they aren't from what I can see: http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Cyberpunk_(Soldiers_%26_Swords) (http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Cyberpunk_(Soldiers_%26_Swords))  Unless someone out there has the 003 or 004 sets?

I also suspected Conspiracy X. Dead end there too.
