I have a piece commissioned that was recently finished. Let me know your thoughts please.
-
Wow, he's ripped! ;)
Love the hair, excellent job.
-
Really, really nice!
-
I am hoping to run a very small limited Kickstarter to produce this guy and a group of colossal hominoid creatures he encounters in an unexplored jungle in an unexplored land.
-
If you don't mind us asking, who sculpted the figure?
-
James Van Schaik.
-
Provided it's a proper 28mm I'm in.
-
Nice sculpt, good 'stocky' physique.
-
He is 32mm.

He is 32mm.
:(

Nice figure!

Why does Tarzan never have a beard?
-
Don't know about the beard but I have to say "Tarzan comes swinging into the tree house one day and collapses exhausted on the couch. Jane says "Did you have a bad day, dear?". And Tarzan answers, "It's a jungle out there". ;)
I'll get me coat!

He is 32mm.
Well, you had me for a minute there....
-
I like him, could use one :-*
Cool dynamic sculpt

The majority of '28mm' figures on the market are actually 32mm or significantly bigger, so I suspect the OP is simply being honest about the actual size.
Plus, Tarzan is a big powerful hunk, so can probably get away with being a tad taller?
A comparison pic would probably help to show the truth of it :)
-
Good looking sculpt. Maybe 32mm would work for a tall Jungle Lord. It would be cool to see how he sizes up next to some other figures.
The whole 28mm/32mm thing can be so fuzzy at times.
-
Oh wow! Tarzan my early childhood hero. I really like that miniature.
-
As soon as he is in hand I will post him next to the Copplestone-sculpted Quatermain figure.

As somebody already said, he sure is ripped.
I'm put in mind of a certain Graham Norton screaming "Miles O'Keeffe!" on every episode of his chat show.
(Now there's an out of date reference for you.)

Which is a frickin huge figure.
-
Yes he is compared to other Copplestone sculpts.

Copplestone's Quatermain is also quite huge, clearly over 30mm, the majority of Copplestone figures aren't that big. But like other posters said, he's supposed to be the lord of the Jungle, fighting gorrillas and such so I wouldn't mind him being taller than an average human. Nice figure, a bit too much of a body builder for my taste but nevertheless it's a lovely sculpt. I really would be interested to see what sort of "colossal hominoid" stuff you are going to create. I like the idea of having a pulp-ish Jungle range out there.

The colossal hominoids are a troop of kongs. Silverback, black back, females, young. I have one commissioned sculpt already completed. This project is the universe of Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan meets the universe of Kong.

In my mind these have always been part of the same world, just in another part of the same jungle.

James Van Schaik.
Totally one of the best sculptors working today.

These Tarzan figures'll always be George to me.
