As part of my Pacific Rim project I bought some mechs from Reaper. They were nice enough, so I wrote a review:

Here are some comparison pictures:

And a comparison shot with kaiju from the Pacific Rim Heroclix set:

C&C welcome!

Thanks for the review. I bought CAV 2.0 a few years ago in search of a BattleTech-like game that doesn't bog down, but in the end I never played it and today we have AlphaStrike ;)
The miniatures look good and they seem to be of a superior quality compared to Ral Partha/Iron Wind Metal mechs.

The CAV models always interested me, but none of the designs ever really "clicked" However with your pictures and descriptions paint schemes started presenting themselves in my head, which might be a sign of things to come.
As somebody with a very similar project I am curious as to the stats you intend to give these in the game. I believe you were going for ganesha games rules?

GG rules, yes! Haven't really delved into the rules yet, but I think I'll use the ready-made Pacific Rim examples as guidelines. I'd be happy to post my choices once ready.

Very interesting, considering the mechs you reviewed are not at all typical of the rest of the CAV line.
