Ok guys got some of the Empress Falangists recently to do a SCW force for Chain of Command.
Is it possible i can use some of the Carlists and Legion to give me some different options in my force. I know the Falangsts used the Beret when they merged with the Carlists in 1937 but would their be much difference in the Uniform to just paint them in Blue shirts.
Also the same question for the Legion uniforms. Im not that fussy about minor differences. I know that the beards on the Legion might be an issue but were the FE officers strict about this in the field?

Most of the Empress Carlist figures can be used as Falangist especially if you like to model the post-1937 period.
As you've already stated the Falangists got the beret but they also 'lost' the blue shirt mostly.
I've converted most of the figures in both the Carlist and Falangist ranges to and fro at least half a dozen times. The separate heads from Empress are a godsend for this.
Not so lucky with the Foreign Legion. Their gear is quite different from any of the earlier militias and even from 'regular' Peninsular infantry.
Cartridge pouches, bandoliers and such.

Added to what Willie said. The post-37 FET kept the blue shirt and red beret of both their former entities as a 'dress uniform', but in line units the standard army shirt appears to have been worn, with blue epaulettes and collar, or just the epaulettes, depending on the time period, it changed over time. I presume that the blue shirt must have made a good target. Might have been the same with the beret, I don't really know.
