Good work overall but from what I can see you might need a bit more practise with female faces.
Also, presentation: there's a fair amount of glare on the sculpt in the video, especially the second half; and personally, I'm not a big fan of sitting through a video when a glance at a photo or two will do. On that note, if you want a still image to show off, take a proper photo rather than a video still. Something's badly squashed that pic in your OP, bro. :o

Thanks bud, I'll pass everything mentioned back to the sculptor, everything is still on a learning curve but I do agree about getting a nice single still rather then a video.

I love it/her. The eyes are particularly nice; AND there's something familiar about her expression. GREAT WORK!

Thanks very much, glad you like the face. :)

Nice. :)
There's a wee bit of Werner Klocke about it, which isn't bad if you like Werner Klocke's female faces. But since this is a new WIP I have few hesitations about throwing my weight around. ;) For my own tastes, I'd smooth the brow down a bit and push that spare mass to the top of the head. (Be sure about where the eyeline goes (http://farm1.staticflickr.com/195/523744987_ee5129a428_o.jpg). ;) ) By the same token, maybe flatten the sides of the whole 'teardrop' a bit, and push it down to the jaw. Just a bit.
One of the bigger problems I had with the previous face was the slight 'sausage lips' effect. (Although like I said, there was a lot of glare in the video) If you want to accentuate them this time, raise them in the middle, but gradually blend them down and in towards the corners. Also, for the lower lip, try pushing in a little more under the lip, rather than adding much more mass on top of it. (See the linked pic again)
Also, don't be afraid to add more slopes and dips and wings to the nose. It might seem counterintuitive for 'smooth' female faces, but if you don't go overboard it should look fine when you step back from it. And if you do go overboard, it's easily pushed back again. :)
Last thing: what are your references?
-
It's a funny thing you should mention Werner Klocke and the likeness as the sculptor (Goes by the internet name ''Duke of Earl'') has had taken advice by him in the past.
The head is still in that WIP phase so everything you mentioned again I'll pass back on :)
Many thanks

I really like the Pirate Girl figure, make sure to notify here when she is available......not everyone uses/likes/wants Facebook.

No problem, the Affinity Miniatures website is being worked on so that should go live with a month or 2 (Depending on on a number of things) so the FB page is a stop gap for the time being :)
And I'm glad you like the first green

Well well well, what a great response to the naming competition. But I now have a slight problem, I'm torn between 2 great names which are Francesca Draco submitted by Geoff Sims & Georgina Drakes submitted by Paul Verney.
So both will be getting a free cast! Not only that but you the people get to have the finial say out of the 2 names you would prefer for are lovely lady to be named!
All you have to do if go too https://www.facebook.com/AffinityMiniatures hit like and comment of the naming competition post.
