Title: Wargames Factory Ancient Germanics Review
Post by: Mitch K on 13 February 2014, 08:40:25 PM
This isn't really in the wrong place. My intention is to use these in my Dark Ages game as a source of Strathcylde cavalry for Saga and skirmish cavalry / Germanic mercenaries for Dux Brit.

I've read a lot of things that say these are pretty ropey. I've written a review of my initial experiences on the blog here:

And a piccie of one that I've assembled and converted:

Overall, I think that for the price these are brilliant.

Cheers,

M

Nice review, I'm not completely sold on plastics yet, so the more I read, the better I can form an opinion.
I have some Napoleonics, and haven't really tried painted them yet but see they are a lot less detailed than the metals I'm used to.

Thanks for posting!!

I glad to hear that they've gone for ponies, but any chance of some more piccies, side views etc?

A sound review.

I've just bought some and share your views - perfect for the price. If you want super detail you need metal, not these chaps.
