I suppose many here are already familiar with this:

But new to me. I'm all over this as inspiration for my fictional colonial world.

An excellent way to incorporate a 300 pound Samoan attorney into a game, now all you need is a figure of Dr Raoul Duke and an open top 'white whale' Cadillac.
"As your attorney, I advise you to take a hit out of the little brown bottle in my shaving kit. You won't need much, just a tiny taste......."

Any excuse to have Germans in theater inaccurate pickhelms fighting against the USMC is a good one to me. :D

I ran a Space 1889 campaign about a German-American conflict with this as the flash point. However, the games I ran were set on Mars.

Askari miniatures makes perfect german sailors in pith helmet, for this conflict, and pulp makes Polynesian types,w/varied weapons, now you just need to watch the movie "His Majesty O'Keefe",w/Burt Lancaster and a six pack of South Pacific Lager from Papua New Guinea and you are set.

Slight correction, Pulp and Brigade Games for that matter both make figures of Melanesians. Quite a different people in terms of looks to Polynesians.
-
I stand corrected about the Melanesian-Polynesian. Also where are the Melanesians listed on the Brigades game site?

If anyone knows of suitable 15 mm figures to make Polynesian (any Polynesians!) civilians - men, women, and children - I'd really, really love to hear about them! One of the last groups of figures I need. What I want is something similar to what both Blue Moon and Irregular did for their colonial African civilians. Plus some over weight kings and queens and retinue. A more svelte king and queen, or prince and princess, would be nice, too.
And for both Africa and Polynesia, I'd love to find some suitable 15 mm drummers. I can scratch the drums easy enough.
