I'm cutting a lots of
bone foam board etc at the moment to make buildings and it would really help if I could get hold of a 45° Bevel Cutter. I don't mind spending out a bit but I would prefer it not to be massive and reasonably affordable, I've seen those handheld things that you pull along a straight edge, does anyone have any experience with them? Are they be relatively easy to use?
Cheers!

I used to work as a picture framer and bought myself a Logan 1000 series for mount cutting - it's relatively inexpensive but is made in the States so the replacement blades might be costly if you're in the U.K.? On reflection I wish I'd have gone for the next model up as the 1000 is quite basic. Hope that helps a bit.
What is bone board by the way?

This is the sort of things I've seen.

They work great but foamboard is the nemesis of a sharp blade, blunting scalpels in minutes so I would question the longevity of cost effectiveness??

I think I've seen one that takes standard Stanley blades, shouldn't cost too much. 8)

Only alternative, I know of is sharping your straight edged blades, if it becomes a cost issues.

Are they? How come? Is it the carton which dulls the blade? I know carton holds small amounts of silica...
