Hi, looking for a little help here.
Thanks to Reaper's bones miniatures, and a number of boardgames with plastic minis (mainly Descent, and the latest D&D ones) I have a bunch of cheap and cheerful plastic dragons. They are nicely sized for a boardgame, which means they fit well on a 75x50mm base.
Yet I'd like to get a few more, so I can represent all the dragon races from my setting (ten). I know WotC have released dozens of dragons in their PPP line, as is now doing Wizkids in association with Paizo. So if any of you own these, could you tell me which ones are nicely sized for using in a boardgame? From what I know, they should be either "large" or "huge"; but difficult to tell which ones works and which don't without some comparison pics.

Wow. Those pics are worse than I expected. My apologizes, but I only have my mobile phone, and its camera is crap. At least it'll help you get a sense of size and scale. Those paper bases are 75x50mm.

HeroScape has many cheap dragons (I actually have the one pictured on the way to me via ebay) but they're about 2-3x the size of the other dragons there. I have the first generation Descent dragon and he's a bit tiny. The HeroScape ones might be a bit much for your board-game scale.

The D&D minis copper dragon should be good sized for your needs. I've got it from a dungeon command boxset. I can make you a pic to compare size if needed.

I have the Adamantium Dragon from D&D, he is pretty good sized.

Yes, the Descent dragon, despite being on a 75x50mm oval base, is rather small (pretty much like a large horse would be). The not-too-bad news, is that because of its skeletal look it'll be used as a black dragon, which is the second less powerful dragon. So it kind of makes sense.
Right now, I'm leaning towards getting the "large white dragon" from the Pathfinder Battles range to use it as a... white dragon. The others used would be the bones dragons as well as the descent ones (from the first edition, the second, and the new "lieutenant").

The Legends of Drizzt boardgame has a dragon in it called Shimmergloom. It is quite a nice miniature and of reasonable size:

You should be able to get the miniature separately.

Thanks for the idea.
A friend of mine owns that boardgame, so I'll have a proper look at that deep dragon; although I think it may too small even for a white dragon. We'll see. ;)
And then, there's the dragon from Super Dungeon Explore, that surprisingly is not too chiby and thus could work with all the other dragons presented here.

I received my Heroscape dragon (the one pictured) and it's pretty gigantic...can post it with a Descent dragon if you want, but I wouldn't bother (very nice dragon for cheap though - will use it for my dungeon crawl eventually).

They might be just a little large, but Safari Limited sells a number of dragons that are of similarish size to those, and they're already painted! You can find them at Michaels arts stores here in USA, sometimes in Target too, and they're available online for around $15 USD or so.

The dragon produced by marauder back in the day would be a good size for a board game.
