Strange Aeons. Great characterful set of rules for small teams. Easy to learn and quick to play. Highly versatile too.

Artizan designs is my go-to for good guys. Should find everything you need in their thrilling tales range.

I'm a Coppelstone Castings man through and through for Threahold Agents.

Uncle Mike makes some awesome monsters!

You can play a few games with one, but you'll need more.
When I started I got
1. Zombies (can also be used as ghouls)
2.  Fish Human hybrid
3.  Nightgaunt
4.  Frankenstein (conglomerate)

I also bought some D and D plastic minis as well.  I'm not much of a painter so I found lots of miniatures that were close.

The beauty of Strange Aeons is that you can use a whole host of different monsters.

Don't be shy to use D&D pre-paints or whatever you have to hand to get a game going while you paint up your freshly purchased minis. Playing the game is great inspiration for getting terrain and minis done.

A few cultists, a cultist leader, and a fishman is a good start, maybe also a powerful monster like a shoggoth or werewolf for scenarios were you only have one creature as Lurker.

The man is right, ya know.

You should also swing by the Strange Aeons board for more inspiration......

...but you probably already know that.

I second the SA, great rulebook. The game is just sooo much fun.

For miniatures, here is my "Strange Aeons bestiary". My life goal since last year is to have at least one miniature for every profile, but that's hard to keep up with! :

For Threshold:

Artizan, as it has been said
EM4
Black cat bases

EM4 and BCB are also a great source for Lurkers.

Second that. I gave Treshold a good run for their money using a similar list for the first few games.

Thx for all your responses !

I bought two blisters of pulp figures cultists, great models, for the lurkers side
http://pulpfigures.com/products/view/45

Regarding the investigators, I just ordered couple of models from Artizan Miniatures.
They have a very nice range in Thrilling Tales section, especially O'Hanlon The Gamekeeper !  :-*
http://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1768

I read the rulebook, sounds great expect maybe the scenario section. They are just basic, nothing really exciting: Free for all, fight etc...
I except maybe something more with storyline as 45 adventures, or Pulp Alley with campaign.

Perhaps the supplement developp this aspect.

They are Brigade Games: http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/Deep-One-Hybrids-I-4_p_2035.html

EDIT:

Actually, they are from Rattrap Productions, but Brigade sells them - and another pack, too: http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/Deep-One-Hybrids-II-4_p_2036.html

I think North Star carries them, too
