Hello there!
I found a couple of pictures of new greens.
They look fantastic!

They do indeed. Nice to see at least one of the new bodies is in a surcoat. That'll come in very useful...
The slight shame of it is, being impatient, that since they were still sculpting these at Tactica apparently, that means the set is not yet even into the Renedra process - which as we all know takes several months. So these seem unlikely to be on the market until the end of 2014 at best guess. And presumably the same goes for the new cavalry set... :(
-
Yes, Captain... It seems there is still a long wait, and I guess the light cavalry is even farther away.
But!
Here is a link with more pictures:
http://ttfix.blogspot.se/2014/03/perry-miniatures-foot-knights-previews.html
and it says "There’s no release date for these but they will be next in the queue after the AWI Continentals.", and the AWI Continentals have already had sprue pictures posted on the brothers own site. So there is that.
And yeah, livery coats will be fun. It seems there are at least two different bodies with it.

They look fantastic! It's getting harder to resist doing some WotR for the Sharp Practice conversion!

Oh dear, I can just hear the wargaming gollum in the back of my head revving up for them: "We musts have them my precious! Have the pretties!" ;D
Very nice figures. I do keep hoping that they'll someday give their HYW range a similar treatment (fingers crossed for early HYW especially!).

Early HYW might be difficult as the knights would have been wearing a lot less plate armour and more mail. I think that undercuts are one of the main problems when moulding plastics. However, as both Alan and Michael go from strength to strength when it comes to 'three ups' and Renedra keep performing little plastic miracles one never knows.....
I assume that everyone has seen these(?):

Agreed. I would love to see the HYW range expand, and if they managed plastics that would be amazing!

Look on the positive side - you've got a Christmas list now :~}.

Lovely looking stuff...and if I may so, I like how they definitely look tired or that the armor is frikkin' heavy. Maybe it's just me, but that's what I see when I look at the poses. No crazy, impossibly agile poses. Nice.

With regular training, which most men at arms undertook, they would have been able to be very agile in their armours. Full harness was a trade off, you would eventually get tired but you were covered and highly protected. I think that Mike loads theory, being that most men at arms would have worked in pairs or even teams on the battlefield if on foot is probably correct and that fatigue, although a factor, was not as much as a problem as we see it through our softer modern lives.

Kind of like how an American Football team functions then. ::)

But without the marching bands :D :D.
The figures look great. I can't wait to add them to my WotR army. The current range of plastics have a very small nuumber of figures in full harness and these would fill the gap perfectly.

No! ;D lol ;D

These look great.

Ooooh, exciting. :-*

Nice. These 2 new sets will make the perry range near complete in scope! My westeros armies of the crownlands, reach and stormlands will likely grow very rapidly once these sets are out.
-
These greens look amazing and looking forward to them being released and with the other plastics they have made for the period there should be some amazing conversion potential and massive variation with head swaps from the other sets :)
In the late 80's the twins made some large scale masters for multipose plastics that i thin were intended for GW Bretonian infantry forces but they were never put into production and from what i remember they would have fitted the early/mid HYW period which the metal miniatures did at the time. Wish they had gone into production and saw them when i worked at the company :)

Oh Lord. Here we go again.

They would make a very excellent fantasy set of paladins or a knightly order

Yep...I see another half dozen threads by Captain Blood comin' up... lol
-
Very excited. Wish there was a skirted knight or two, but I guess that's a little later than the box's time-period.

Yes, with cheerleaders in wimples.

Should be easy enough to add skirts though the armours in the current Perry plastic box sets are a little earlier.

Perrys have been working on the 3-ups, ready for making of steel moulds (nicked from their Facebook updates).
So more pics of the greens are on their workbench - I reckon we can now see all 6 body variations here (2 with coats) - plus plenty of sword armed options, plus two-handed weapons.
All looking rather good....

Hoping they are released in time, so they can be packed away for close inspection and assembly on my summer hols!
