I had a look at your buildings and I really like that rough hewn look you have going on with the wood.

I just scribe and then stain whole sheets of balsa, and cut it up as I need it. When I put the stain on I use a cloth and go over it with a scouring pad while it is still wet (just a light rub to rough it up). Got the idea from Col O'Truth.
