Title: Old (really old) School forces pictures
Post by: Conquistador on 09 March 2014, 05:04:21 PM: As I clean out my old SF figures (what to keep/what to sell) I wondered who else has "armies" using older figures (25 or 15) like Gamma World, Ral Partha Galactic Grenadiers, anything pre-1990...

Post by: PF on 09 March 2014, 05:11:35 PM: I got two or three armies of W40K with only 1988-1989 models and also a group of GW ninjas from the same era and they're rather small tho they might be 28 mm (possibly 25 to the eye???) but definitly smaller than the Ral Parthe ones I have. Do they qualify?

Post by: aliensurfer on 10 March 2014, 02:02:44 PM: Not much pre 90's that is true 25mm, although I do have a few unofficial star wars minis from the 70's that are not particularly good, but all that was available at the time, some of the designs were interesting though. any true 25mm stuff still interests me as it can go with my WEG and GZG stuff.

Have to agree, good well sculpted 25mm is always welcome in a galaxy far far away. I have some GZG hard suits as proxy old republic troopers and sith troopers. Most 25mm though is quite old and often quite simplistically sculpted too and so is not an easy mix in.
