I havnt seen the film, but have read the first book, fun stuff!
Your post gave me an idea to paint up a Flashman circa 1930s for a pulp badguy.

Hmmm, now who makes a suitable figure of a dashing 30s cad?

I'll have to check out the link above after work.
Thanks

Flashman would be 108 in 1930, if he hadn't already died in 1915.  :)

But he could always be treated as one of those characters that never (or rarely) seem to age, like Tintin or Batman. I mean Bruce Wayne has got to be in his 90s, considering he was running around as the Batman during World War 2.

Given Flashy's amorous antics it's a given there'll be a child or even grandchild of his capable of getting up to no good in the 1920's and 30's. Son - or Daughter - of Flashman?  ;)

And don't forget the geographic (and ethnic) variety that is possible, given Flashy's activities!

Maybe Eureka Miniatures' Wellyn Shaftesbury?:

Thanks for all the suggestions Chaps.

This sculpt by Mr. Hicks looks the part I think. Smug and militarily dressed so he can be close enough to the front lines to take credit but not close enough to get hurt...  ;)

Now what else to get from Empress to justify the S&H across the pond.

I already have a Eureka Shaftsbury. Splendit sculpt but a tad pre 1930s I think.

Dad and I watched this movie together and we both liked it. He fell asleep half way through, but I think that was because of the medicine, not because he was bored.  ;)

Thanks for sharing.  :-*

Thanks guys 'n' gals for the replies. I came across it by accident whilst surfing the utube and thought I wonder if anybody has yet to see it and would it be worthwhile listing it. Glad I did now. Cheers. ;)

Yes, thanks Prof. I haven't seen that film for a very long time. When you reminded me of it, I went straight on to Amazon and ordered a DVD!  :-*

Not quite sure on the choice of actor for old Flashy there. No doubt the film is good, though.
