Title: My take on the LAF Prof. mini
Post by: Svennn on June 29, 2008, 09:56:06 PM
I finally got around to ordering a couple of these from Miniaturicum, must say superb service from a true gentleman -thanks Michael, and wanted to try something a little different with it. I decided against a conversion and partly inspired by the Prof.'s old avatar went with this.

Excellent painting skill - as always.
The clothes are great, but the skin tone doesn't work for me, sorry ; too weird...

Hey, he is from India or somewhere along that line. That's what I thought after seeing the skin tone. Works with me.

Maybe the skin is slightly darker than I'd have done, but I like the grey hair and goatee - it makes him look very distinguished [as of course he should be!]

Lovely stuff, though and it makes me want to get my version finished. It appears that most of us are doing him in the "regulation" Field Archeologist's uniform colours....  lol

As an aside, apparently it's "National Beard Week", so that's giving me the inspiration to get my Prof painted  :D
