He should be ok as I got his stuff as well. :D
I like to think of myself as a well rounded collector of lead but the wife thinks I'm a looney o_o
-
Nicely done, Rabban looks great.
-
Well done. Where's the worm from?
-
Thanks all
The worms are from here http://mjfigures.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=114_79 (http://mjfigures.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=114_79) They are really for 15mm but seem ok
-
I have a couple of those worms and though they are strictly speaking too small they work fine for the table top.
-
Those look great. I love the BOF Studio range. What does the worm look like next to a figure?
-

I'll let you off ;)
-
If this is supposed to be "not Dune" then you are failing miserably, because this is very Dune-like...
-
Next up Fremen and a Worm Rider. I have put the other worm in there as well for scale.

I have some smugglers as well as some of AKULA's lined up but have Corsairs to paint and ships to build first!

Nice work...although judging from his facial expression that Perspex rod is causing some pain....

I did sharpen it :D

Nice thread!
OK, I'll bite. Who makes the figures? I see mention of BOF Studio but it doesn't ring a bell ..
-
The Baron is great, is he a conversion or did you sculpt him from scratch?
-
Great painting work. I have some of these figures and I would like to buy more of them!
-
Think you can still get them if you pm andyw on here...
-
...is he a conversion or did you sculpt him from scratch?
All the minis shown are a fanmade "hobbyproject" of AndyW (just search him).
You can find more painted samples on my site: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/desert_world.html (http://www.adpublishing.de/html/desert_world.html).
He offered the minis for a short time at his BOF website which is now defunct.
But as saif above, maybe you can still get some by PMing him.

The Baron is from bof as are the others, I have his email if anyone wants it just pm me
-
Can I ask what colour you used on your Harkonnen?
-
It was Foundry 39 Storm Blue Triad for the troopers
-
Looks like I'll need to drop an order in with them.
-
Been a while since I updated but I have now finished my Smugglers and Alia.

Nice

Love this and will watch with interest. ;)
-
The terrain looks like it's shaping up to be very impressive, a Sietch I take it?

It's a bit of a mix, with the main building being a palace or temple. It's so I cam use it for 40k as well
-
Cracking work :)

Great project. Can't be a proper sietch since the inhabitants are obviously sloppy with their moisture seals. lol. Nice terrain for real.

Done a bit more work on it. Just trying to work out what colour to paint the floor?

Also working on some other desert type buildings, not sure what colour for the doors on these.

A reddish brown for the floor color maybe as tiles, would look good I think :)

Yes I was thinking a terracotta brown maybe with some gold
-
I was thinking some kind of marble or sandstone.
Whatever you pick it should have some sort of pattern or tiling!

My painting is not that good :o

Stunning work Agis. Too bad the fellow doesn't carry on with the project. I've always loved Dune and the books have survived numerous purges of mine. Too good not to read again and again.

Use masking tapes! They work wonders with sprays, whether airbrush or spray cans. You can get Frog brand which allows zero bleeding at paint shops (like house painting, not hobby painting) and it will ensure crisp tile work. Can't go wrong!

Haven't done anything with the project in a long time but after fixing the pictures in this thread (FU Photobucket) I have started work on a Guild Navigator

Oh, we will work parallel on the same projects. The pope mobile is next on my schedule too. I'm very interested in your results. Lets see, who will finish it first.

Finished the Navigator, not up to sniperjack's standard but I am happy with him.
