Title: Maisie Dobbs
Post by: Argonor on 01 July 2008, 09:13:31 AM
Anyone in here read some books by Jacqueline Winspear about a female investigatior by the name of Maisie Dobbs, roaming England 'round 1930?

If you have, are they any good? They haven't been translated into Danish, yet, but if they are interesting, I might start buying them for me and my wife in English  :)

I've not read them, but my wife says they are great.

My wife has excellent taste in everything.

Don't laugh.

I shall be ordering the first one through my workplace, then, thanks! (I work at a company distributing and binding books for libraries, school libraries, and schools - we can get anything at a 40% discount  ;D)

When Bogbrush comes out, please let me know the ISBN - then I can get that one too!  ;)

Must look her up, I was thinking of using my Artizan figures with a Midsomer Murders feel set in the 1920s, with a Hot Fuzz cult bend to it, and, of course, a bit of horror.  I have a large collection of timber framed buildings from GW, Conflix, EM4 and TSS, and with a post box and phone, it will look 20th Century.

My wife has excellent advice to hand out too.  I learnt that the hard way.  LOL
