Title: Companion Miniatures are back in production
Post by: Aventine on 23 March 2014, 10:58:57 AM
I am pleased to be able to let you all know that Companion Miniatures have started back up again. The owner is offering unit deals via Ebay at present. There are Spanish and some Romans with Naps. following on.

Just search for Companion on Ebay and it should turn up the figures. Use "Companion 28mm" as the search terms.

Cheers

Just looked; a friend of mine will be a happy man. I just don't understand the GBP 25,- postage to the Netherlands from the UK; doesn't seem to be the actual postage + some extra for packing.

Look at the entry from Glenn Foden.

It might be worth while contacting him directly to see what he can do.

Here's a summary from Glenn of some of the items now available and the order process/production times:

I now have very limited stock of;

Numidian cavalry, bow, javelin and slingers.
Spanish Warband, about 10 different types, armoured and unarmoured including some celtiberians with Celtic style swords mixed in.
Spanish cavalry, unarmoured, pectoral plate, scale armour, chainmail with scale or chainmail.
Gallic armoured and unarmoured cavalry.
Roman Caesarian cavalry in cuirass or chainmail
2 general packs -Caesar and Pompeii at £10GBP each pack (includes general mounted and on foot, standard bearer and 2 centurions)
Caesarian legionaries standing with pilum, cloaks and plumes, or standing without cloaks.

Orders received and paid by Wednesday will go out on Monday next. Manufacturing is on demand once per week so some items will go out of stock during peak times especially after a weekend.

Feel free to post this on the forum if you wish with the contact email below

The prices seem alright, but the international postage as quoted on TMP [?] seemed rather high. Let's hope that postage that is more in line with other sellers will prevail.

For those who dont know Companion miniatures here are some ancient Lusitanians (iberians). :-*
Miniatures are great and each pack shows a great variety of figures.

@rumacara: Could you please ask Glenn about cheaper international postal options? Royal Mail small packet is usually reliable enough, and more in line with the postal rates that other manufacturers charge...

Hello all

I already did but Glenn is using GLS transports to international shipping.
The costs are still high and i did told about Royal mail instead of GLS.
I think you should contact directly with Glenn, explain the situation and both of you find a cheaper way for the postage. He is a nice person and open to sugestions.
Depending on where you are you can propose a cheaper transports company also locate in England for example.

I also pay a lot each time i want to order something.

Well, so far i dont know.
That would be my next order.
If Glenn tells me what the pack contents are i can publish here.
For those interested, please be patient because Glenn is working on a website or blog where you can all have the information needed.
As soon as i or anyone has this information we will certainly place it here.

Thanks for the info. It's great to see these back in circulation. Does anyone have any idea what happened to the Spartacus range?

It is with the original owner(they were never part of the sale to Glenn) and maybe the subject of a purchase by a new owner, at present they are OOP, I will of course relay any news that comes my way.
