Title: Warlord new plastic Napoleonics

Good for use as Feld Battalions and Landwehr units this is a flexible set allowing you to field the brave Hanoverians as they ally themselves to the British cause and the downfall of the tyrant Bonaparte!

More information and images are on their way but we just knew you’d want to see these as soon as we could bring them to you.

And that’s not all! We understand plans are well underway for more Peninsular releases in plastic – Spanish and Portugese Line Infantry as well as several surprises for other Napoleonic campaigns and armies. We’ll bring you more details as and when we can penetrate Studio security…

Is this the same normal Warlord trick - ie. "identical bodies and different heads!" or have they stopped that?*

*not to be outdone by the ECW "same identical sprues, but different flag stickers!" crap...

I presume it's the Warlord hat trick.  This isn't nearly as bad a stretch as that abominable Polish set they put out.  Dreadful decision.

Having seen the British, and now these I wonder if I am missing something because I thought both sets don't look very good. But then I am not that impressed with the Warlord product or pricing anyway.

I think the figures look great.  What I am interested in was the comment about Spanish and Portuguese.

I'm waiting for Spaniards and Portuguese, too, but was hoping someone else might do it.  Ah, well.

I've only seen several shots, but the hands appear to have that excessively large look as on Warlord's landwehr and Russian sets.  Could be the camera angle, I suppose.

If gigantic hands are not your thing stay away from Front Rank and Elite :) I like them as it is easy to paint the fingers when they are like German sausages.

What else could the Hanoverians be used as, perhaps with minor conversions?

Plastic Portuguese would be very welcome as would some Spaniards.

I spoke to a head honcho from Warlord at Salute and he confirms that plastic Spanish and Portuguese are definite, but the release has been pushed back to next year.

mmm. Mild reaction from me---

to be honest, i find that the sculpting of their ECW troops is awesome. I've painted some and they are incredibly detailed and moddable. But yeah, their marketing is just too pervasive.
