Title: 15mm tires
Post by: Dr. The Viking on 31 March 2014, 07:45:37 PM
Hi there!

Does anyone perhaps produce something that could look like tires stuck into the dirt or lying in piles as depicted in many instances of modern day African shanty towns?

I was thinking of maybe using very small but thick o-rings? Anyone tried that?!

You could try £store vehicles and steal their tyres/wheels.

I got a couple of bags of rubber tires made for HO scale stuff pretty cheaply from a model railroad online store.   Each bag had 24 tires.   Here is what I did with them (and some HO scale 'junk').

I think that was about 1 bags worth...

It wasn't this exact pack (I didn't get the plastic wheels) but the rubber tires were these or very similar:

I think this may be the set I actually ordered:  http://www.internettrains.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=IT&Product_Code=ALN-50104&Category_Code=HSCINTTNCALNTRD
