Chaps
would like peoples opinion
on this grenadier figure i have
had done.....28mm ..was Guard but got a red line colar!
i have decided not to produce him
though i did do a run of 100 as hes
rather slim and bearskin is a tad big
well painted by Andy and sculpter
does not mind me not using him
still not 100pct sure

I quite like him. The bearskin does look big but in some contemporary images from the time the bearksins looked huge so who knows.
-
thanks Brian...your right French bearskins were huge for the time
and getting this essential piece of kit to look right
is quite a challenge!!

Only a little off - the plate seems to be a third of the height of the bearskin, yours is only a little taller I think.
The pose looks good, more dynamic than other guard - this chap's finally getting to advance!

Thanks Emir...much appreciated
just been contacted to sell all available castings
of him..will hold on to a few! :D

Dear Boy,
The figure is not one of your best. The pose is rather static and stiff.
As you have said his bearskin is rather large.
You are right not to produce him as there are better figs out there.
Keep it up
Cecil

Not sure, the bearskin seems to be too large, a whole battalion of figures with those would look strange. For single based skirmish i guess it would be fine, but hey, who plays napo as skirmish? :D

thanks Nikfu......................interesting comment
just managed to sell most of em to a good customer
of mine... :)
